Creative Unit

Double Exposure
Halftone Screen
Circle Rotation
Image Overlay with Text
Vertical Strips
 Symmetrical Patterns
 Hand Colored
Texture Screen
I liked this unit and I wish we could have had way more time to think about what we were actually doing, i would have liked to make a story through all of these photos or something that is actually meaningful. But otherwise, this unit was pretty fun! I got to be creative.

WRITING WITH LIGHT

Aperture~25
Shutter Speed~ 4.0

This assignment was really fun. I learned a lot more about aperture, ISO, and Shutter Speed. With writing with light the shutter speed has to be on bulb mode and the aperture has to be set to match the photo and make sure the photo is balanced well with light. Before this assignment I wasnt really taking that stuff into account. But now after having done this assignment it really does matter about your aperture, ISO, and Shutter Speed.

Model interview

He enjoyed this project and he said he had fun acting like he was cool when he really wasnt. He thought the photos are a really good example of who he is and his passion for hunting. We had fun shooting, expect for the fact that it was cold out. He would let me take pictures for the next unit as well he said.

Writing with Light

Whitney, Bree, Megan, and Taylor

I really like writing with light. It is so fun to create and also the results of the photo turned out awesome. I would love to just spend a whole day just seeing what I can create with this and different lights.

I took pictures of my boyfriend CJ. We have been together for about 7 months now. He is the best thing that has ever came into my life. He makes me smile when I'm in the worst mood and he gives me faith when I have none at all. I am a huge part of his life he tells me, but hunting comes right after me... He is obsessed with killing animals?! But I respect his lifestyle. In these photographs he is wearing camo and caring his bow. I chose the setting of the woods because its his second home to him. CJ and I can be goofy together sometimes but when he is hunting he gets real serious and focused. It is a massive part of his life and I love it when he gets so excited over the mere thought of hunting. He is really important to me and I like when I am able to experience his hobbies with him. This unit has really opened up my eyes and showed me that you can display someones personality through photographs by the way you pose your model, the clothing they wear, and their location. I really loved this unit and hope to incorporate it in later ones.

Silhouettes

Gradient

 Pattern

 Shape

 Solid

~ I think that this way of taking silhouettes is pretty awesome. I like how the shadow is the person standing in front of the light and how we were able to photoshop it to enhance the shadow even more black than it is already. Photoshop is really awesome, I like how it has layers because you can go back in at anytime and change your edits. The backgrounds that you can make these photos is amazing. And i think it really showed the personalities of my models.

From working with light I have learned a lot of stuff. I now know that different light sources set a different mood. I use light to match the models mood. So, for example, if my model is happy and smiling i will make my light much brighter. What the models facial expressions are really reflects on the way you should have the lights. I think that I did really well on this project and I can't wait to do the final.
